And to end with a quote; ' Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.'

Some of you dear readers will have noticed I've been posting less often. Which is weird in a way, as with two children at school now for at least two hour a day you'd think I had more time, or more to say. Well life really is moving very fast at the moment, every time I think, lovely I'll stop and smell the coffee and chill along comes another thing. Not all bad of course, we've had our lovely fish festivals, and birthdays, and sea side days. But it means I've done my stopping and thinking for now.

And even more importantly, maybe that was what this blog was; a chance to catch up with myself at the end of two very busy years. And a chance to reflect on the changes in my life; from children, to moving from London, from having money to not having hardly any at all. And on not working. These changes are all utterly bedded in now, and I feel right at home in my tatty house in my tatty seaside town. I've got some lovely friends, my children are lovely - well sometimes, and maybe, just maybe I'm happy and settled.

So a massive thank you to all my readers, fellow bloggers and friends. It's been great. Really great.

No, don't do it!

You know you will miss it........

I know I will..but it is so horribly addicive in a way. So much so that I seem to have been spending time having fags - when I could be blogging.
Could there be better ways to use my time??

You're asking ME about whether there could be better ways to spend your time.

Sorry that I've barely visited the tatty house but GOOD LUCK for the future, whether you carry on blogging or not.

You'll be back.

By the way - I can't walk past your house with the dogs any more because that idiot 2 doors away with the two dogs he keeps in the front garden needs to learn that tiny terriers are very good at getting out of garden gates - the little swine keeps escaping and savaging Alfie Greyhound - then running back and taunting me from the garden, if it happens again I'm planning a swift drop-kick= over the hedge.

Thanks all.
And have faith Richard - I might change personality and become very quiet. Thought I hadn't seen you for a while...front garden dogs have disappeared so Alfie safe. Although bad dog on Athelstan Rd still getting out and being bad.
Come and brave our lovely community cafe soon for coffee though. You'd like it.

Hi from a stranger! I've never commented on a blog in my life but wanted to say thank you as you have inspired me to embark on the same London to Hastings adventure myself next year. You've been exactly what I needed - I was idly thinking "I wonder what it's REALLY like uprooting a young family and bringing up a toddler in an unfamiliar town by the sea after years in London"... and there you were! So thank you, and maybe I'll bump into you one day in the park in a year or two and be able to say it in person :)

Err... just realised my last sentence sounded a bit stalkerish - it wasn't meant to!!

Siameez
Glad to have inspired you, seriously nearly everyone who has made the journey here is delighted they did...and has settled in to a different way of life.
And no, don't worry - I wasn't thinking you were actually a stalker.
Smiler - I know! Inconsistency is a trait of mine...Who knows!
